Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Pasado CSE Reviewer ("the app", "Pasado", "we", "us") is built to work without collecting your personal information. This policy explains the little data the app and our website handle, who handles it and why, and your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its rules.
Who is responsible
The developer of Pasado CSE Reviewer is the personal information controller for the data described here. For any privacy question or request, including those for our data protection officer, email [email protected].
No account, no tracking
You do not need to sign up or log in. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking tools, does not follow you across other apps or websites, and does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Data stored only on your phone
Your settings (exam level, exam date, daily goal, reminder time, text size, theme), your optional first name, your answers, bookmarks, streaks and exam history are saved only on your device. We cannot see them and they are never uploaded.
You can delete them anytime with Settings > Reset all progress, or by uninstalling the app. Because they live only on your phone, we cannot recover them for you if they are deleted or the phone is lost.
Purchases
The one-time Full Access purchase is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, email address, card, GCash or Maya details.
To confirm that a purchase is valid, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase verification service that acts on our behalf. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous ID created by the app, your purchase receipt from the store, basic technical details such as the app version, device type and country, and, like any internet service, the IP address of the request. This is used only to unlock, restore and protect your purchase. See revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
A record that your purchase was verified is kept in your phone’s secure storage (Keychain on iPhone, Keystore on Android) so the app works offline.
Sharing your Pasado card
When you share a Pasado card, the image is created on your phone and the suggested caption is copied to your clipboard. It goes only to the app you pick in the share menu. The app does not upload it or keep a copy anywhere else.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your phone. No push token or personal data is sent to us or anyone else. You can turn reminders off in Settings at any time.
Store statistics
Google Play and the App Store may give us anonymous, combined statistics such as the number of downloads and crash reports, but only if you allowed this in your phone’s settings. These cannot identify you, and Google and Apple handle them under their own privacy policies.
Emails to support
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to answer you and fix problems you report, keep it only as long as needed for that (normally no more than two years), and never add you to a mailing list. Our mailbox is hosted on Google Workspace (Gmail).
Our website and Facebook page
Our website (pasadocse.com) has no cookies, ads, sign-ups or tracking scripts. It is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to show and protect the site and gives us only combined visit counts.
Our Facebook page is run on Facebook. When you follow, message or comment there, Meta’s privacy policy applies, and we see only what Facebook shows page owners.
Service providers and transfers
Google, Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare may process the limited data above on servers outside the Philippines. We use only established providers that protect data with encryption in transit and their own security programs, and we share only what each service needs to work.
We may disclose information if a law, court order or government authority requires it, and only to the extent required.
Security
The app talks to the stores and RevenueCat only over encrypted connections, keeps the purchase record in the phone’s secure storage, and keeps everything else on your device. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but if a breach affecting your personal data ever happens, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
Children
The app is made for adults preparing for the Career Service Examination, which is open to applicants aged 18 and above. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under 18, please use the app and make any purchase with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Your rights
Under RA 10173 you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct (rectification), to erasure or blocking, to data portability, to claim damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Most of these you can do yourself on your phone, because that is where your data is. For anything else, such as asking RevenueCat to delete the anonymous purchase record or asking about an email you sent us, write to [email protected]. We will reply within 15 working days. We may ask for details, such as the store order number, to confirm the request is yours.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear in the app and on our website with a new date. If a change affects how your personal data is used in an important way, we will point it out in the app before it takes effect.
